The magic of the patented technology in the LightWedge is in the tapered, wedge shape of the optical-grade, acrylic lens.
Bright LEDs housed in the side of the product shoot light through the tapered lens and, using light pipe technology, direct all of the light down onto the page.
Readers lay the lens directly on top of the page and read through it. The light is distributed brightly and evenly only on the page where you need it most; none escapes to disturb others around you. All LightWedge products use LEDs which do not get hot, will not burn out, and are extremely energy efficient so your batteries last a super long time!
Simply rest your LightWedge on the page and read. It works on either the left or right page, holding the page flat as you read. The optional PageRest holds the LightWedge on most books so that you can focus on your reading.
For oversized books simply remove the PageRest and move the LightWedge across the page as you read. The ergonomic design and light weight let you read as long as you like. When you're done, turn it off and close your book -- the LightWedge doubles as a bookmark!
