Position Title: Creative Director
Location: Boston, MA

Position Summary:
Creative Director, reporting to the VP of Marketing, is responsible for leading creative direction for the company, for establishing and upholding the visual identity and integrity of the brand(s), and for managing the design and production of all creative and marketing materials. Main duties include: creating product and packaging printed and digital materials, presentations, catalogs and custom artwork; creating visual concepts for web development; developing marketing and advertising materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate creative marketing ideas, solutions and standards for the company.
  • Solve design problems that arise in a project and recommend solutions that meet conceptual and corporate objectives of the project.
  • Ensure brand/visual identity consistency across products, packaging, marketing and communication materials.
  • Create product and packaging printed and digital materials.
  • Develop marketing materials including catalogs, direct mail, sales presentations and support materials, print and web advertising campaigns, and corporate communication materials.
  • Manage workflow and creative project deadlines.
  • Hire and efficiently manage external freelancers, creative firms and internal employees.

Skills Required:

  • Great conceptual mind. Strong design skills. Relentless attention to details. Commitment to high quality.
  • Significant experience with all Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Significant experience with multimedia technologies such as Flash and web technologies such as HTML and CSS.
  • Significant experience with preparing materials for print production, strong visual layout skills, understanding of typographical principles, etc.
  • Product design and 3D design skills a plus
  • PLM experience (preferably Arena) a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and produce results in entrepreneurial, fast-paced business environment. Ability to work well under pressure, handling several deadline projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead cross-functionally and cooperatively in a team environment.

Experience/Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and related experience in a design studio, creative agency or an in-house marketing department.
